A Thought Provoking and Must Read Article!

This article is taken from the "Words of the Harvesters" news letter put out by Caritas of Birmingham Alabama. I know there may be some of you out there who consider Caritas to be rather radical, but please, take the time to read, contemplate and pray about this article, and then read it again.

Is God acting upon the July 4th, 2008 Consecration of the United States of America?

You Decide!

This is the year of St. Paul, so named and dedicated worldwide by the Catholic Church. St. Paul, the great evangelist, wrote about three quarters of the New Testament. Though an unlikely choice, he was chosen to be a tool in the hands of God, transforming the known gentile world and stretching centuries into the future, even to the New World.

God can choose anyone He wants, to do what He wants.

Joan of Arc was a 13-year-old peasant girl in France. The famous 100 Year War had been raging between England and France. France had been reduced to little more than a few square blocks. The nation was doomed to history, with no hope for a future. For two years the Archangel Michael and other heavenly figures spoke to Joan’s heart, training and preparing her for a divine appointment. An unlikely choice, at 16 years of age, she became not only the youngest military officer to command all armed forces of a nation in all of history, but the only woman in the history of the world to hold such a position. Joan of Arc miraculously led her soldiers in battle and drove England out of France, restoring France as a nation. The simple peasant mesmerized the generals and the troops and the people rallied everywhere she went. She had a magnetism that could not be explained except by the Divine.

God can choose anyone He wants, to do what He wants.

We are a nation torn by a cultural civil war. Our society today is not producing fruit. Rather an internal lust of self has taken root prevailing over and oppressing those who desire a society where God is the center, marriage is uplifted and the well being of the family flourishes.

Much of this division is the result of radical feminists who have led the culture in decades of war fighting for abortion, unrestrained freedom to do whatever they want with their person, reproductive rights, easy divorce, and on and on. Feminists, along with many other radical movements, want women in every position from the work place to political office. Every new position filled as a first is hailed as a glorious moment in history for ‘women’. And yet, their path is strewn with sin, aberrant beliefs and defiance against God. Why do they suddenly not want what they have fought for?

God can choose anyone He wants, to do what He wants.

St. Paul was His choice to save the gentiles.

1.* This election year--the year of St. Paul.

2.* Joan of Arc was His choice to save France.

God speaks to us when we recognize the signs He leaves to trace His direction.

3.* An unlikely choice, Sarah Palin, a woman, with her acceptance speech, rallied the Nation to hope again, from St. Paul1

Minnesota that is….

Three signs? ***

You decide.

The Patriotic Rosary is prayed in convents, in churches and homes across our nation, and in military bases around the world. The first state listed in the Patriotic Rosary is Alabama, the site of the consecration of the United States which took place on July 4,2008, the place where the spark was lit. The state of Alaska is the second state that is presented in the Patriotic Rosary, the place where the fire began to burn. Arizona* is the third state presented in the Patriotic Rosary, the place from which gave the opportunity. The first three states of the 50 states in the Patriotic Rosary written 13 years ago. Three more things for you to ponder. This is not an endorsement of anyone, rather only for you to prayerful contemplate these events. Pray the Patriotic Rosary everyday in the days remaining before November.

P.S. Again, this is not an endorsement of anyone. It is given to you to contemplate the July 4, 2008 consecration of our Nation2. The moment of consecration was definitely a commitment by “we the people” to put our Nation in Providence’s hand to move it by all matters of occurrence and unforeseen incidents to restore our land.

“Until one is committed there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: That the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issue from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way.”

Send this around the country. Keep it going to all you know.

1 St. Paul, Minnesota, the convention where Sarah Palin gave her acceptance speech.

2 On July 4, 2008, 12,000-15,000 people gathered for the purpose of placing the United States of America in the hands of God. This day was preceded by 16 years of prayers, prayed by tens of thousands of people across our nation. July 4, 2008 was part of a serious five day prayer gathering in the spirit of the people of Nineveh calling out to God, with prayer and lamentation, seeking His forgiveness and mercy. Outside of the thousands who were gathered together for this special prayer event, tens of thousands were joined in prayer across the United States during these five days.

*Arizona is the home state of Sen. John McCain.
